In short
- Controller
- DB Events, Ostend, Belgium. One address for access, correction and erasure.
- The minimum needed
- A website address. An email address only if you want the report sent to you.
- Not for training
- What you send is not used to train a model and is not resold.
Which external parties get to see my data?
Five, and they are named below. What most statements leave out is the third column: not that there is a subcontractor, but what it gets to see. An AI provider here receives the question and the public page content, and no account data — a technical choice you can test against the product's behaviour.
Two of them are left out by all but one statement in this market, and that is deliberate here: our writer and our evaluator run at different providers. That is one extra party in the chain, and it is the price of a judgement that does not come from the same family as the text.
| Who | What for | What that party gets to see |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | hosting of the site and the measurements | the traffic to this site, and a measurement's data while it runs |
| Anthropic | the models that measure, write and prioritise | the question being asked and the public page content that goes with it — no account data |
| the quality gate, and Gemini as a measured engine | the text being judged, without knowing who wrote it | |
| Resend | sending reports and replies | your email address and the content of what is sent to you |
| Upstash | temporary storage between two steps of a measurement | intermediate results with an expiry — no archive and no searchable history |
On what basis are you allowed to process my data?
On three grounds, and which one applies depends on what you do. Request a free measurement and that is consent, which you can withdraw. Hold a paid service and it is performance of the contract — a withdrawal can then stop the service itself. And keeping the site safe and working rests on legitimate interest, with nothing kept that leads back to a person.
How long is a measurement kept, and why that long?
As long as the series it belongs to runs, and that is longer than it looks. The whole point of this product is asking the same questions again later; throw away the first measurement and the second is not a re-measurement but a new snapshot. A series without a starting point proves nothing.
What does not stay: intermediate results in the temporary storage expire by themselves, and an email address given only to have one report sent does not belong in a series. If you want the series itself gone, that is possible and the before-and-after goes with it — that is the trade-off, and it is yours to make.
How do I have everything about me deleted?
With one message to the contact address, no form and no need to give a reason. It is carried out within thirty days and you get back a list of what was held — that last part is not a legal requirement, but it is the only way you can check that it is right.
Who can I complain to if I disagree?
With the Data Protection Authority in Brussels, and you do not need our agreement for that. If you live in another European Union country you can also go to your own supervisory authority; they will pass it on.
Frequently asked questions
Does my data leave Europe?
For the AI part, yes: the models run at providers with infrastructure outside the European Union, under standard contractual clauses. Leaving that out would make this statement shorter and untrue. What goes there is the question and the public page content, not your account data.
Do you measure my competitors too, and is that allowed?
What is in an AI answer is public: anyone can ask the same question and read the same thing. We record who appears in that answer, and that is an observation about a public statement. What we do not do is build a file on a named company — that is a boundary and not a technical limit.
Will I get advertising if I run a free measurement?
You get the report and a follow-up about that report. If you want nothing further after that, saying so once is enough; there is no separate list to unsubscribe from separately.
