Which four parts are always in it?
Four, and they appear together or it is not a report but a dashboard printout. The fourth is the one most often left out and the one that most decides whether you can hand it to a critical reader: which engine did not answer, which signal could not be measured, and why.
| What is in it | Where from | Why that belongs there |
|---|---|---|
| the question, exactly as it was asked | the question set in your file | without the question a score is a number with no subject |
| the answer that came back | the engine, on the day of the measurement | an answer changes; without keeping it, a re-measurement cannot be compared |
| the sources that lay underneath | what the engine itself cited | that is where the address of the fix sits; discarding them while aggregating leaves a chart |
| what could not be measured | the engines that did not answer | a missing measurement counted as zero in an average invents an outcome |
Can I get a report in a different language from the one measured in?
Yes, and it is more sensible than it sounds. The market determines which engines carry weight and which questions get asked; the report's language only determines who can read it. A measurement in the French-speaking market with a Dutch-language report is therefore not a contradiction but the ordinary situation in a company with a bilingual board.
May I give this report to my client or my board?
Yes, to both, and there is no layer in between that has to approve something first. For a board the usable form is usually the before-and-after with the questions alongside; for an agency's client it is the findings list with the addresses, because that is the list someone starts on tomorrow.
Why does a shareable link expire after a while?
Because a report is a snapshot with a date, and a link that lives forever quietly makes that date invisible. Whoever opens it a year later reads figures that were right then as though they are right now — exactly the error we track down at clients: outdated information sitting at a fixed address and still being fetched.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put my own logo on the report?
Yes, and for agencies that is the standard form. What may not come off is the origin of a figure: which engine, which day, which question. That is not a brand rule but the reason the report proves anything.
Do I also get the underlying data as a file?
From the routes that carry exports, yes. It is the same content in a form you can slide into your own overview, and it is deliberately not the default: a table without the question above it is exactly what we called a dashboard printout above.
