Because every claim carries its method and there is only one winner per field. If a second value arrives for a field already filled by a heavier method, that second one is not thrown away but set aside — with what was said, what is true, and who said it. Eight points, per conflict, off your verification score — deliberately a hard flat number rather than a weighting.
