Which tool answers which question?
Each of the eight answers one. They are listed in the order you usually need them: first whether an AI may enter at all, then whether it understands what is there, then whether your measurement holds up.

In what order should you use them?
From the outside in. First the crawler check: is the door open? Then the readability check: does it read what you mean? Then robots.txt and llms.txt to fix it. Only after that the prompt checker, because a good prompt set on a site nobody may enter still measures nothing.
Where does a free tool stop?
At the measurement. Each of these eight looks at your site or your list; none of them puts a question to an AI engine and sees what comes back. That costs money per query, and it is why the scan exists.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay or register anywhere?
No, for none of the eight. No account, no email address, no trial. If you then want a real measurement in the engines, that starts with the free scan — which does not ask for a card either.
Do you keep what I enter?
The prompt checker sends nothing: it calculates in your browser and you can turn off your network to verify that. The tools that fetch a URL do have to visit that page — there is no way around it — but we do not keep the outcome tied to a person.
Do the tools work for a site in another language?
Yes. The prompt checker recognises exclusions in four languages: Dutch, French, English and German — the same four this site is written in, and the same four we measure in.
Why is there no score on this page?
Because none of these tools measures what an AI answers. They look at your site and your list. Putting a number on that would be an estimate with a decimal point, which is exactly what we criticise others for.
