In short
- Ahrefs
- An SEO platform on its own crawler and web index, with Brand Radar on top for visibility inside language models.
- check
- Their unit of billing: one prompt, on one platform, in one location. A package holds a number of checks per month, above which billing is per unit.
- web index
- A private copy of the web, built by years of crawling. It is what makes a backlink profile possible, and it cannot be rebuilt in a year.
What is the difference between ceeme and Ahrefs?
| ceeme | Ahrefs | |
|---|---|---|
| In short | Measure, then actually do it | The index. AI as a module |
| Who it is for | Freelancer, SME, group, agency or enterprise — from self-service to bespoke | SEO specialists, agencies and in-house teams working on link building and technical SEO |
| Getting started | Free scan, no account and no card | No trial period and never a discount; there is a free tier for your own, verified site |
| Price | Free scan · DeepScan from €490 · subscription from €79/month | $129, $249 or $449/month, Enterprise $1,499/month with an annual commitment. One user included, extra users $40 to $100/month |
| What it does | Measure, report, fix and execute — with an approval gate before anything is published | Measuring and auditing, with Patches as the executing layer in the most expensive project add-on |
| Which engines | The engines that matter for your market and language — not a list to show off with | Brand Radar tracks daily, but with few prompts: 5, 10 or 20 per plan, or a separate package from $50/month |
| Fixes | Exact fixes inside the product, and execution within scope with approval and rollback | Site Audit flags technical problems; Patches applies changes, inside Project Boost Max at $200/month per project |
| Follow-up | Live dashboard, weekly retest on the same prompt set, competitors included | Weekly rank tracking, daily Brand Radar checks, and Bot Analytics for the bots that actually visit your site |
| Traffic and attribution | GA4, Search Console and Looker Studio where available; also which AI sends visitors | Its own Web Analytics, a Search Console connection, an API, an MCP server and Looker Studio from Advanced up |
| Language | Site in nl, fr, en, de; scan, report and dashboard in nl, fr, en, de or es — written per language, not translated | The interface is in English; tracking works per country and per location |
| Breadth of the review | Technical, design trust, data consistency, Google Business Profile and agent-readiness | Backlinks, keywords, technical health, content and local profiles — with AI visibility as the newest layer |

Where is Ahrefs stronger than ceeme?
- The crawler and the index. Ahrefs calls itself the second most active crawler on the web, with more than ten years of data behind it. We do not crawl the web and are not going to; anyone who wants to know which pages point at them needs something like this.
- Brand Radar leans on a database of more than 271 million organic prompts. That lets you research a brand that is not yours, on questions you had not thought of. Our questions come out of a measurement of your company and therefore never out of such a reservoir.
- Bot Analytics shows which bots actually visit your site, the good and the bad. That touches AI findability directly — an assistant that never fetches your page cannot cite it either — and we do not have it.
- Their price per check is simply stated: $0.020, $0.015 or $0.010 depending on the package, with the overage rate beside it. That is the most honest unit price in this market, because you can work out what a measurement costs before you sign.
- No trial period but a genuinely free tier for your own verified site. A trial expires; this stays, and that is a friendlier arrangement than it sounds.
How does ceeme differ from Ahrefs?
- The number of questions. On the $449-a-month plan Brand Radar tracks twenty prompts; more is bought as a separate package, billed per check. With us the number of questions follows from the package on the pricing page, and no balance runs dry halfway through the month.
- Ahrefs does execute something — Patches applies changes to your site — and that sits in the most expensive project add-on. The difference is what surrounds it: with us every action passes a policy that says, action by action, whether it may run on its own, with the reason attached, and there is a way back per execution.
- We have what we write judged by a second model from a different model family, which is not allowed to know who produced the text. Why both of those are needed sits on our study page, with the three studies underneath it.
- Dutch and French are the language things were written in here, not a setting above the same measurement. The Ahrefs interface is in English.
- Our measurement starts at an address and not at a verified project. You get a scan without an account, without a card and without proving the site is yours.
Why does an AI name your competitor and not you?
A tracking tool stops at step three. We keep step two, and that is why step four exists.
- The prompt
- A real customer question, without your brand name in it.
- The answer
- What the engine says — and which sources it fetched for it.
- The finding
- "You are called the cheap option" or "this is factually wrong".
- The source
- Which page produced that framing. That is the fix — an address, not a number.
Measuring or fixing — which do you need?
You buy Ahrefs for the index, and that is a good reason. As long as backlinks, keywords and technical audits are the work, little else comes close, and Brand Radar on top is then a perfectly good first look at AI visibility. Where it pinches is the scale of exactly that part: twenty prompts on a $449-a-month plan is an exploration and not a measurement, and more is bought per check. We do not have the index and never will; we have the other half — taking the questions through to a conclusion, and then someone who writes the fix, has it judged, places it and measures again. Side by side that is not an opposition but a division.
Frequently asked questions
Can ceeme look at my backlink profile the way Ahrefs does?
No. That takes a crawler of your own and a web index, and we do not have those — it is years of work and it is not what we build. What we do look at is which sources an AI draws on when it answers a question about your market. That overlaps with link building but it is a different list, because an assistant does not choose its sources on an authority score.
Twenty prompts sounds low. Is that a fair comparison?
It is what their pricing page states for the $449-a-month plan, and it is fair as long as you add that you can buy more: packages from $50 a month, billed per check. What it shows is the place AI visibility holds there — a module beside the main product, and not the main product. That is not a criticism; it is the difference between a platform that adds something and a product that exists only for it.
Ahrefs has Patches. Do they not execute too?
They do, and that belongs on the page. Patches applies changes to your site and sits in Project Boost Max, $200 a month per project. The difference is not whether something is executed but what surrounds it: with us every action carries a policy saying whether it may run without a signature and why, and every execution has a way back.
