Where does that answer come from?
From sources you largely do not control. The table below shows what our own classification makes of a handful of well-known addresses — not copied out but called, so that what stands here is the same as what lands in your report.
| Source | Type according to our measurement | What a candidate reads there |
|---|---|---|
| indeed.com | vacature | A jobs channel. What it says about your company you usually wrote yourself — but not the reviews and the salary indication underneath. |
| glassdoor.be | vacature | A jobs channel. What it says about your company you usually wrote yourself — but not the reviews and the salary indication underneath. |
| stepstone.be | vacature | A jobs channel. What it says about your company you usually wrote yourself — but not the reviews and the salary indication underneath. |
| vdab.be | vacature | A jobs channel. What it says about your company you usually wrote yourself — but not the reviews and the salary indication underneath. |
| linkedin.com/jobs/view | vacature | A jobs channel. What it says about your company you usually wrote yourself — but not the reviews and the salary indication underneath. |
| linkedin.com | social | Rarely cited directly, but read as confirmation that you exist and that people work there. |
| trustpilot.com/review/x | review | Customer reviews and not employee reviews — and the two blur as soon as they sit on the same domain. |
| reddit.com/r/belgium | Where people say what they would not say in an interview. You can only join in under your own name. |
Why is this a different measurement from your customer one?
Because the question is different and the answer therefore comes from different sources. “Who is a good supplier of X” and “is that a good place to work” are two questions about the same company, and an average over both describes neither. That is the same reason ceeme measures per audience instead of giving one figure — there are ten, and the candidate is one of them.
What can you do about it?
Start with the source that weighs heaviest and that you can actually touch. A careers page that says what is factually true — how many people, which roles, which hours, which benefits — can be made machine-readable and is yours. What sits on a review channel is not, and there only answering helps.
What do we not measure here?
Whether you are listed on those channels. We measure which sources the AI CONSULTS to form its answer, and that is not the same as “people are writing about you on Glassdoor”. Only the first can be established today; the second would be an assumption with the shape of a measurement, and that is exactly what we flag in others.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a separate scan or part of the regular measurement?
It is the same measurement, split out. ceeme asks the questions from the position of ten different readers, and the candidate is one of them; this page works out that one audience because it has a source type of its own. What you get depends on your package — that sits on the pricing page and nowhere else.
Why is there a page for the candidate and not for the other nine audiences?
Because a source type of its own exists for the candidate and not for most of the others. Indeed, Glassdoor, StepStone, VDAB and LinkedIn Jobs sit in our classification as a jobs channel, so there is something to measure here that is measured nowhere else. For the sponsor, say, no such type exists, and a dedicated page would then be the same text with a different word in it. That is the mistake we made on our own agent pages and are not making twice.
We have no open vacancies. Does this still count?
Yes, and it is even cleaner that way. What an AI says about you as an employer is there when you are not hiring too — it is built from what was written in the years before. The month you actually need someone is the wrong month to find out what that answer is.
